| A Letter from Heart to Heart, Romania |
|
|
Elena Pascalau (pictured left) writes: "I can only begin by thanking God again for His love and His
greatness! In our lives, in the life of the project and in the lives of the old people that come to the Day Centre
in Constanta.
Thanks to the involvement of a church in Bristol, we are able to open the Day Centre an extra day every week,
something we have prayed to do for a long time. For so many of the people this means an extra day with food and
an extra day with their friends. "It's like coming home four days a week" said Maria, who unfortunately, still
sleeps on the street.
|
Twelve of the old people here are now preparing for baptism! Isn't this great? They will be baptised
in September, in the Black Sea. It is going to be a great celebration! Down here, and also in heaven.
These people come to church and prayer meetings. Please do pray for them, for God to keep them and to
help them grow.
Our prayer for 2007 is that none of those that come to the centre will have to leave this world without the
opportunity to make a conscious decision about God. We need you to join us in prayer for this.

One of the major things we are doing at the moment is to help those who haven't got ID papers to get them.
Seven people now have ID's, meaning they can receive a minimum income from the government. They could not
have a pension or anything else before, so the money received now, even though it is only £15-20, means a lot for them."
(Nicolae is pictured left with his new ID card).
|
Please pray with us:
For the people that came to the Day Centre or are part of Heart to Heart, to have an open heart for God.
For more regular income, especially to be able to pay the rent for the Centre.
For Aurica and Marta, who are now alone after their husbands died.
For funds to continue to pay for those that rent rooms to live in, keeping them off the streets.

| How you can help |
• A gift £21 will pay for one person to have lunch at the day centre for a month.
• A gift of £10 will provide a food parcel to give to somebody who can't get to the day centre.
• A gift of £5 will provide ten homeless people with a tin of soup and a loaf of bread.
