From Heart to Heart
People enjoying a hot meal at the drop-in centre
Heart to Heart ministry for elderly people in Constanta, Romania recently dedicated a whole month to praying and thinking about “what we do, why we do it, and what does God want from us” (as Traian and Elena Pascalau put it). The ‘results’ included a renewed appreciation for all donations received and the determination to make every sum received, whether large or small, be a blessing for the people needing their help.
Helping the elderly in most need may involve providing food at the drop-in centre, taking food when visiting people in their homes, helping those struggling to pay their rent or taking medicine where it is needed. Also, of course, those visiting will be sharing the gospel and the team at Heart to Heart aim to get out onto the streets even more in order to do this.
Over the Christmas period Heart to Heart hope to be able to give something extra to those they serve. A special Christmas meal will be laid on at the drop-in centre and it is hoped to be able to give each person a substantial parcel of food to take home with them to help them over the Christmas period.
- Pray for God’s continued direction and encouragement for Heart to Heart as they serve Him.
- Pray that ample funds will come in to enable Heart to Heart to care for many vulnerable elderly over Christmas
