Soup Kitchens in Bulgaria start for the winter

Rumen Ivanov writes:

"With the first cool days of autumn starts the period of hunger and freezing for the children from the Gypsy ghettos. For eight years now Mission Possible, Bulgaria organizes soup kitchens where more than 250 hungry kids find hot soup, tender care and protection. Again, 16 volunteer-women will cook the delicious soup, enough for all the children and will check if the hands of the children are well washed before lunch.

I AM ASKING YOU FOR YOUR PRAYER SUPPORT:
- For the children – May God bless them and may their “whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless” (1 Thessalonians 5:23)
- For volunteer-cooks – to be strong, gentle and full of joy in their ministry to the children.
- For the financial needs, that we expect to be met, in order for the soup kitchens to work throughout the winter."

Prayer Request from the Krasniqi family in Kosovo

Driton writes:
"Lately Ruben has been unwell. He’s been complaining that he cannot release urine very easy. We took him to the doctor and after the preliminary check-ups it seems we have to take him to the hospital first for further examinations and then possibly for an intervention into the urine channel.

Please do join us in our prayers:

That the X-Ray in Hospital will prove Ruben is not suffering from any serious illness.
That Ruben will be completely healed.
That God will provide for the hospitalization which is around 400-500 €.
That we will be able to teach our students well in spite of this pressure.
That God will be glorified in all this.

Well, once again, thank you ever so much for all your prayers, love and support.
Driton, Halide and Ruben"

Alpha and Camp in Croatia

Danijel and Eva Mrsic in Split have written to us with the following two prayer requests:

1. This evening (Tuesday 10th October) they start a new Alpha course, which will last 11 weeks. Please pray for all the guests, for God's anointing, and for people to come to know Jesus in a real way. Please pray also for the team of 20 running the course, who have been preparing, praying and fasting for the last month.

2. Danijel and Eva are in the process of purchasing a large piece of land ideal as a base for various camps, retreats and training centres. They need to pay the final amount on Thursday and are still lacking the full amount needed - please pray that money will become available for them to borrow.

Finally, please pray for Danijel and Eva themselves, that they will stay strong in the Lord and keep His peace, in spite of their circumstances.

Lost Air Tickets

Please pray for a miracle this weekend! Our partner in Montenegro, Jovica Bacvanski, is due to visit the UK in a couple of weeks time to attend the Eurovangelism Autumn Conference. Unfortunately, his tickets have gone missing en-route to Montenegro and if they don't turn up by Monday, we will have to pay a substantial sum to get them re-issued.

Please pray that they will be delivered over the weekend!

Health Scare in Tirana, Albania

You may all be familiar with the oft-reported community of Bathore, on the outskirts of Tirana. Our partners have written to us to say that many of the children have been ill over the last two months due to unclean tap water. Many have been affected with hepatitis. Please pray for healing for these children.

Mission Possible, our partners who work in Bathore, have written to us with several prayer requests:
1. Pray for all the kids they work with.
2. Pray for the Miracle children's magazine, and for Ledia (pictured above leading a Miracle Kid's Club) who now edits this magazine.
3. Pray for the Miracle Children's Clubs that run around Albania.
4. Pray for the people in Bathore, for warmth & food throughout the winter.

Thank you!
